I would not be too surprised to see Lionel Messi moving to Munich in the next season or two right now....

He has a contract until 2018, do you think anyone is willing to pay a 100 million+ sum when he has Robben, Ribery, Shaqiri, Kroos, Müller, Mandzukic, Gomez and now Götze already?

HST is again the biggest active space telescope (in terms of mirror diameter).

Yesterday, view from the Guesthouse Inn, Little Rock city, AR. So not used that everything is so close to you now (groceries, hospital etc...) :shifty:

Welcome to the land of convenience, and Deep-Fried Twinkies. You can feel your arteries stopping.

Sadly, you have won. I always thought nothing can defeat Schweinshaxn(Eisbein)& Sauerkraut in that discipline, but it is not unhealthy enough anymore.

Especially Sauerkraut and Weißbier have too positive effects on your health.

You will likely die of dihydrogenmonoxide poisoning if you drink that much.

Shouldn't ethyl alcohol kick in earlier?
Unless you're one of the weird people drinking beer without alcohol, who I haven't fully understood now.

The only beer I drink is with alcohol... if I drink beer at all. Unless you mean malt beer, which is not beer.

Also, drinking German beer is not really tasty anymore... there is a US brewery, that managed to win the prize for the beer of the year... German style recipe, brewed with German technology, but with real hop (carefully selected) and real malt... not hop pellets and malt concentrate, like many German breweries use - the result is, that it is impossible to tell by taste, which German beer you are currently drinking, it all tastes the same and uses the same ingredients (darker beer is just made by mixing some beer extract into normal Pilsner).

I was really impressed by this TV documentary... usually you see such forms of natural unprocessed hop (which already looks tasty in TV ) in small bavarian breweries hidden high in the Alps. And now I know that not my age was the reason, why all beer stopped tasting like it did in my youth... it really tastes all the same now, right down to the precise chemistry.

Not a beer drinker myself, the 'Cruiser likes bourbon, rum, and, well... Let's just say that moonshine isn't nearly as fun to drink now that people are going "legit".

I highly recommend Short Mountain Distillery over in middle Tennessee if anyone is in the market for some high quality (and high octane) corn whiskey.

And Chattanooga may (finally) have a distillery, hopefully soon Chattanooga Whiskey can be produced here in Chattanooga (instead of somewhere else that, well, like NOT Chattanooga). Last I heard they're rolling towards production in June.

EDIT -
For the moment Chatt. Whiskey is being made up in Indiana somewhere. I got nothing against them, but Tim and Joe (the owners) are bring their whiskey back home to roost (finally).

I was poking around a high voltage circuit.
It was connected to a power supply.
The power supply was off and unplugged, obviously.
I look up on it, and see the power LED is lit.
Panic mode on.
Panic mode off, confusion mode on - everything on the PSU is off, it's unplugged, nothing happens, but the LED is lit!?
Turns out the Sun was shining through the ventilation holes in the side, lining up a thin beam exactly to the back of the LED, making it look lit up.

The universe just does not run out of surprising coincidences...

Keep in mind that LEDs can sometimes stay lit for a while longer after you unplug an electronic device. They use very low power, so the various capacitors and inductors in the circuit can power them for a while longer.

The best 'shine is the ones that don't advertise it. ;)

OK, managed to connect my new wireless keyboard to the same receiver as my wireless mouse... using a 80€ keyboard feels a bit strange, since usually my keyboards are expendable parts... but it was the only keyboard that was wireless, without another mouse (or I need a second girlfriend) and which felt great to type with while testing it in the shop. :D

Now the main problem for coding is gone... the unchristian cursing because of the laptop keyboard layout.
