Got through Doctor Who season 6. The Christmas special makes my face leaky.



Still in denial that I'm 8 months from being 20. (hey, just realized I existed-ish 20 years ago)
I would kill for IHOP first-thing on my birthday! (at a good IHOP at least!)
My 19 was pretty bad, but you can't have a bad day after pancakes.

Made that 4 months from 20 here! I too am in denial right now, especially when my last few years aren't smooth at all.....

In a few months, I will be 35. The end is near. :thumbsdown:

When I was 18, I was sure that it can't get any better than this... well, I was so wrong. But I still can't really imagine to be older than 35 one day. It feels alien.

20 is a weird feeling birthday though. Its the first one that you only sorta celebrate, since you realize how old you're getting.

Never had really a chance to think much about my 20th birthsday. Had been in the army, enjoyed the fact that nobody really bothered me with my birthday while training went on...until I was publicly celebrated by the platoon in the evening - which was pretty cool that day, since it was completely unlike any birthday in my civilian life.

I hate future birthdays, but I enjoy ongoing and many past ones.

My 20th birthday was epic. The neighbours awoke us at 7:30 AM to complain, while the last of us fell on the floor around 6:00 AM. I was in such a bad shape I sent a friend to the front, and even then he listened the complaints without being able to understand anything. Epic.

I'm going to be 30 in a bit more than a month. Nothing scheduled right now.

Whew! Back from Cookville. I drove 175 miles into the next time zone and back (GMT+6 I think, central US) to wake my kid up. She had already been getting text messages from her friends (and one from the wife) so she was almost awake. I called her on her cell phone to do the dad-ly thing of wishing her happy birthday. She groaned a thanks into the phone, and I said "Oh, by the way, could you come downstairs?". She said "Huh?" and I started knocking on the door.

When she opened up, the 'Cruiser was standing there with a cake, roses and a card. Worth every bit of fatigue to see her face light up like that. She threw on some makeup and clothes in record time and off we went to IHOP. Time to faceplant into the pillow now. ZZZZzzzzzz....

-note to self- The bananas foster brioche is every bit as awesome as I thought it would be.
