Yes, here in the Philippines school year begins around June 10-14 and ends around March 20-22 (mostly depends on the school, ours ends on the 20th)

I remember seeing a girl that was barely 13 (closer to 12 in appearance) and terribly pregnant. And her mother was right next to her and I was suddenly not surprised at all.

Alot more common...2nd time this happened this school year (2012-2013, one of my other classmates got preg around december or january last year, gave birth this late november), i won't be suprised if i heard one of these again.

I was talking to NASA 502 the other day (Saturday). It was flying around over Baltra, Galapagos, taking pictures (they said). They were having some trouble contacting Guayaquil Centre, so I was relaying for them, as we were halfway to Baltra ourselves at the time. Then I heard it again yesterday, in Colombian airspace, while on the way to Bogota. The aircraft was parked at Guayaquil yesterday afternoon, with a camera pod underneath.

My question. Does anyone here know what it is doing in this part of the world?
