Humor Random Comments Thread

Since I can't sleep, I've spent most of tonight so far playing Dr. Ned's Zombie Island for Borderlands. Resident Evil it's not, but it has its creepyfing moments. And of course the oddball humor with Marcus and Claptrap.

As far as Super Bowl halftime shows go... wow. :)
Partly I'm just not used to watching in HD. :P

Women: Complain about sexism, SuperBowl halftime show consists of more than a dozen half naked women

And I have to say it's getting boring. Pop music is basically the same for the last 20 years and all the "sexual-innuendo-dancing" is just a rerun of Madonna in the 90s...

I only have to agree there. And especially... the singing standards have been dramatically lowered. Not a single clean note, and no sung melody, that lasts longer than 4 measures. Between that strange articulations. You really have to resist the urge to give dollar bills to the "exotic dancers".

Well, that blizzard happened. 30cm of snow, and they didn't even cancel school. Fantastic, I just love driving in this watery muck with the crazy parents swerving about.

I'm now cripplingly addicted to the Minecraft mod(pack) Voltz.
Don't bother getting addicted yet if you haven't tried it. The current "recommended" build has world-ruining bugs.
I suppose you could go with an old version.
Or just follow the Yogscast, though it's pretty lacking in REALLY demonstrating how awesome Voltz can be.

At least you can swerve and drive. In Moscow, when lots of snow arrives (suddenly, as always), roads grind to a halt in magnitude 10 traffic jams.

Just walked from the subway station to my home, 6 km or so, with snowstorm in my face, passing by dead trolley buses and a semi-trailer truck standing across a bridge.
A refreshing apocalyptic stroll.

Lucky you. For some reason I can't even start Voltz. It just sits there with a white screen doing nothing.

So you went to the main Voltz page, downloaded the Technic Launcher, selected Voltz, and logged in?

I definitely saw a bug report with a similar problem but I didn't look into it myself. Also it was probably from an older build.
Major bugs in the "recommended build": Uranium does not generate! And chunk generation lags heavily.

In Wolfsburg, any weather that is not still sunshine, will result in magnitude 10 traffic jams. The latest storm resulted in a 30 km long traffic jam from Wolfsburg to the next town. No tree dropped on the road, no truck was blown on its side. Somebody just decided to drive a bit slower, starting a chain reaction.

Hooray for a massive upgrade to my laptop battery, especially since the old one was only reaching half of its tiny design capacity, and hooray for spending a third of what a battery with half the capacity sells for from HP.

Mine died a while ago, so I've just been running off of the AC charger, hoping I dont unplug it by accident.

What if...

we had to write numbers like this?

I would invent time travel and go back in time to prevent the conception of the idiot who thought that up. As if math wasnt hard enough.
