Not looking forward to 3-6 inches of snow, 3/4 inch of ice, and 0F wind chill. Until about a year ago, the coldest temperature I knew was about 40F. Then I went to college and got 20F last year. Tomorrow I may face around 0F... Do I HAVE to take finals next week?

I've lived in the midwest all my life, so you'd think I'd be used to these temps by now. I hate it.

Ironically, this topic plus the picture of our Canadian friend above remind me of a friend who moved from Louisville, KY (originally from my area in Indiana) to Texas with her husband earlier this year. People were chastising her everywhere she went this past spring saying she was going to catch a cold because it was mid-60s F weather and she not only didn't have a jacket, hat and gloves, but had short sleeves on. :lol:

People willing to work 50 hours+ a week in anything with IT, people willing to work 40 hours a week for low salaries in health and care, engineers willing to have studied for years, manufacturing or electronic technicians, hairdressers, bakers.
Anything that includes a low salary, a lot of work, work at weird times or dirty work. Anything that neither Germans nor EU citizens are willing to do.

Pro tip: If you think about immigrating to Germany: Don't. No more questions just don't.

Depends on the where and what you want. There are different universities and different kinds of universities. Are you more into the practical world? Or more into theory, that has nothing to do with really existing computers?
