Risking starting a basement worthy argument, does anyone actually pay attention to msnbc and fox?

Nope... I get my news of what happening in America from BBC...

Anyway... From Watts Bar (the saga continues).

I'm off today, but it's still day 36 of 30. Last I looked we were 232 hours behind, but my crew did take some rather large bites out of our work assignments.

On Main Feed Pump "A", the speed governor is set, as is the hand speed changer (HSC), Electro-Hydraulic Converter (EHC), High Pressure and Low Pressure valves strokes are set. So for the most part we can give operations their A feen pump back.

"B" MFP has it's controls in place and with luck will be calibrated today.

Still to do is the servo-bias for the main turbine, we get that complete and we are finished with everything on the turbine room floor; but the problem is that our hydraulic fluid is being held out by the clearance procedure (as part of the steam blocking for some reason). It was discovered yesterday that there is generator cooling water leaking from somewhere... and to find it hydraulic fluid must remain locked out.

I really hope some of the managers (I lump a lot of people into that bunch) lose their jobs over this. They are already playing the "blame game" with corporate, but there is a corporate mole in their midst. As far as I'm know, they are blissfully unaware of him. Maybe we can get some positive changes out of this.

Now playing: Germany vs Sweden.

FIFA World Cup 2014 qualification match, in the Olympic Stadium of Berlin.

Just when I thought AP Physics couldn't get any harder, my teacher expects us to teach ourselves (or each other) the chain rule.

Derivative of outside times derivative of inside

If youre actually in distress, I can post my notes from 1st year calculus, showing it and how its proved. At the risk of sounding very nerdy, Calculus is quite fun once you get the hang of it.

"Crazy :censored: almost landed like a bug on a windshield."

"We did break both speed and altitude records, sir. AND beat the freefall mark by thirty thousand feet."

A C-160 Transall managed a pretty critical landing yesterday, touching down on a normal road in front of the runway of the tiny airport of Ballenstedt (the runway is only 800 meters/2400 ft long, maximum regular permitted weight is 5700 kg), but still landed intact. The C-160 had been bought by the nearby aircraft museum of Wernigerode. It is due to be disassembled and transported to the museum until 2014.

A swiss Mirage III RS is the latest plane in the museum, arrived there in 2011.

(Yes, its near my location. Ballenstedt is also the site of the Rockharz heavy metal festival)

Need to complain to your AP calculus teacher if you don't know chain rule well.

Trying to escape a tank on foot? Whoops, you just got stuck in place.

There's nothing more annoying than a website with sound that starts blasting at you without you expecting it to or wanting it to...

Sound? Never noticed it.
