Snow crystals have a lot of air between them. Snow is actualy something that can keep you very warm. Just think of an Iglo.
Whereas water touches your skin, get's heated by it, flows away and is beeing replaced with unheated water.

I programed about 1/3 of a Mars Colony economic game. Its pretty much a toy at this stage. I still need to add in all of the rules, multiplayer and whatnot.

Java has some problems if you're running it on a Linux machine. My friend uses some obscure version of Linux and it doesn't work for him either.

Hey, I did the 200km Elfstedentocht, only not on ice, but in a solar powered 'race' boat...

Some people of my gliding club have also completed this route in a glider plane, which I consider pretty hard to do..

Hello fellow Orbinauts.

As some of you may know, there is an unofficial (not that there would be an official one) orbiter IRC channel.
It was relatively dead for a long long time. Even I failed to properly idle in it...
Epsilon and blane (known as snwcrsh here on the forum) have been building awareness and trying to bring some life back to it.
Now the channel is relatively active, although most chatters are europeans.
Let's make it a more filled friendly place to stay. Participate and join now!
