I went over two miles in 12 minutes during my PFT (physical fitness test in the German army). No girls, was the old army. But I had a nasty Emil Zatopek double in front of me, running almost 500 meter further than I did and igniting my ambition.

I've never gotten my mile time under 7:00, my personal record is 7:16. I usually run for distance instead of speed. My distance record is 8.2 km, I might shoot for 10 km tonight.

The best I made is 1500 meters in 6:50 minutes. It would make the mile (1609 meters) around 7:15 or so... In terms of endurance, my record is running for 1 hour 30 minutes.

While I still enjoy watching it, it does show its age, probably a bit more than other things. Why they are always "checking the machine"? (and before you respond, yes I know what it actually means, I grew up in the 90s), it is just funny how often they did it, a bit of an overused mechanism to draw a character out of the action.

Always Sunny in Philadelphia is pretty much just a modern day Seinfeld.
