I can't tell you for certain, but I know sometime in the 80's, a F-15 collided with a A-4 and lost a few feet of it's right wing, spun quite a bit, lost its entire wing, recovered and was safely landed.

I've seen this on the TV. The whole thing was recorded by the on-board camera, I'm pretty sure you can find it on YouTube.

The pilot obviously knew something hit his F15 on the right wing, but he had no idea of the damage (strapped on a F15 cockpit, you can't see the wings). He noticed there was a big problem with the right wing aerodynamics or control surfaces, but could still handle the aircraft. So well he managed to land, trimming as much he could and using differential engines thrust to keep the balance.

When he exited the aircraft and saw that the whole right wing was cut short, he was shocked. "If I knew that, I would immediately had ejected", he said.

The F15 thrust/mass ratio (especially when you remove 1 wing ) is enough to do such things.

I was messing around with geostationary orbits today. Then I said, "Why stop here?"

100,000km orbit. 3.6 day period, 5300 GS west
I think it's kinda cool. Your mileage may vary.

The official German headline of the year: "Brüderle caught being honest" (Brüderle is the German minister of economics and really has "a fairly uncomplicated relationship to the truth")

A crazy french TV teams claim to have made the biggest candy bear in the world :
