I am having trouble getting the X-15 to release from the B52 or B70 in the Project X-15 add-on. I am using the Shift+D module and have installed all the files, X-15 2.0, X-15 Delta 2.0 and Edwards and High Range. When I press Shift+D it doesn't release the X-15, whether I am focused on the carrier plane or the X-15. Does anyone know why this is happening?

If you're in the carrier plane, you can use Spacecraft3's default attachment system.

press a to activate.
and then I think shift + numb zero to release.

Have you activated the "Release" MFD that's included with the addon? Are you using it?

I think so, but do you know what the name of it is, so I could check?

I'll try that.

Its called ReleaseMFD-mouse and ReleaseMFD-shiftD. You activate them in the modules tab on the Orbiter launchpad.

Yeah, for sure its: 'a' to activate payload manager, Shift + 'Numbpad Zero' to attach/release the payload.

It worked fine, and yes I was running the Shift+D mfd. I don't know why it didn't work, but I guess I'll just use A and Shift+0.

Just having it active in the modules tab isn't enough, you need to pull it up on either the left or right side MFD. The Project X-15 Docs will have takeoff instructions, which include the use of ReleaseMFD.

And be sure to use the correct 'version' of the mfd, I use the Mouse one. That one actually does something when you click the button, with the other one you need to remember a hot key thing.

Source Code

FYI: The source code to ReleaseMFD is available here. If someone wants to fiddle around with it, feel free...
