Hi everyone i have some problem using orbiter 2010. Every time when i'm in some mission i get small random locks up for about a second it is really annoying specialy if fast time is used then. Please help me with this problem.

thanx

This is pretty common I think, particularly when using fast time compression. There is a thread about it somewhere, but I think what is happening is the Orbiter graphics engine is loading a base that you are flying nearby enough to "see".

The bigger and more complicated the base (surface tiles, objects, etc) can cause a little hiccup. Those that sometimes give me problems are Polygon and ASVI.

You might try the external graphics client D3D9, or OGLA to see if it'll help (it should also give you better frame rates and visual eyes candy).

Also on the Orbiter launchpad under the Extras tab, you can select (under the visualization parameters) preload textures at session start. This will make for longer load times, but will speed up the process "in-game".

Thanx PhantomCruiser preload textures at session start really helped me a lot :-) I'll try OGLA and see the results. Oh is OGLA stable at the moment?

The base with the underground mountain cavern was the absolute worst when I had it installed. Just being on the same side of the planet as it would cause crashes at times. Excessive meshers

Somewhat stable, but you will encounter some crashes & not every add-on will work 100% properly with it. D3D9 would be a much better choice, so long as you can live without terrain.
