The Jupiter family looks like the SLS.

The SLS is the main reason the DIRECT project stopped. DIRECT was pretty much the opposition against the Ares V.

I do remember now looking at something about 10 years ago or more about those rockets. I di have an addon where the " Orion and upper stage" was mounted on the side as with shuttle C but no way would NASA ever put men on the side of a Shuttle C.
I think just take the ET and SRB's from the shuttle and mount the Orion /ICPS on top. Not long ago my contacts at JSC told me that they were revisting useing the ET and SRB's for a cargo launcher . It seems like our government is going to war with Elon Musk . He has made them and the rest of the fat cats in the rocket industry look bad. I think he will get Star ship to fly with or without them

it will need the engine compartment like the SLS. it should look like the SLS just shorter it could be called the SLS 1B

If you left the spacer on top of the tank then the shroud that might be enough room to carry a payload inside, the spacer would need to come off after the ICPS separated

No on the emails.
The jupiter class uses 3 SSMEs. But I can remove the center engine and make a 2 SSME model

I think if the lengh is the same as the ET then put the spacer on and only one vertion would be fine
