Orbiter Video Thread

Please rephrase that. I thought you were saying we lost David. :(

Are you aware, you could have shown the unloading of the external pallet ?

Thank you BTW.

The video is beautiful! If I may, I'd suggest to push a bit your antialiasing, the result will be super in my opinion

Sorry about that. I haven't spoken to him in a while, but he was still very busy with school as of January this year.

I didn't know that until today. It seems external pallet is removable only if you use JAXA/HTV and JAXA/HTVpallet instead of JAXA/HTVpayload.

It was the only way for the payload, to be visible with Multistage2 launch back then. I think now it may be possible.

After 3 months of work and countless hours working in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, I have finally completed my movie. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Very nice video. Got Interstellar / Contact vibe from it.

Some shots (for example Europa arrival and landing) could be more dynamic (a bit of cam shake). But that's the only criticism I can think of.

Excellent job.

I didn't realize it was Scott Manley narrating the video!

Very good job here on the video, Tex! You never disappoint

EDIT: Meaning ... :shifty:

I think you better, read that again. :shifty:

Cool video and slick production values - a grand scope and beautiful visuals. I like it. Plus, it leaves a lot of questions open (What happened to the other crew members? What did you learn in those three hours?) I guess only the sequel will tell

Cheers mate. Those two movies were definitely a huge source of my inspiration. I agree with you about making them more dynamic. I didn't want to go overboard with camera shakes, so I hadn't considered them in that shot. Hopefully more dynamic and realistic scenes will come with time as I develop my skills with the software.

Thanks Martin! I've always felt science fiction feeds our wildest imagination, so leaving the ending open to the viewers imaginative thoughts appealed to me. :) Plus, there is also the fact that I lack the skills to write a complex and proper movie script with multiple actors, let alone having access to any actors.
