Hi folks,

I would like to ask you for some assistance. I recently gave my Physics teacher a CD with Orbiter 2006-P1 and some addons I prepared for him. Now we both agreed, that we could use it for a demonstration for planetary maneuvers ans spaceflight itself.

As I only mastered the flight to the Moon by Transfer MFD until now, I would like to ask: What things can I show in the lesson and are there tutorials simple enough to be understood by me (I say that, because I haven't really understood TransX after being an Orbiteer now for two years :sorry:).

I would love to show a swing-by, lunar landing (with NASSP Apollo 14 with the vAGC holding the wheel), rendesvous, all these things. What could I also include?

It would be great, if you could help me.

Cheers ,

PS: I really feel a little bit ashamed that my farthest trip out until now was to the moon and only with an in-plane transfer. I think I really have to learn IMFD.

I think that there's a scenario in the base package that's one of the Voyager trajectories that goes past Jupiter and Saturn. You can run this and just watch it.

You should also take a look at Celestia. You can download plugins like the voyagers etc and watch Voyager 2 fly the grand tour past all 4 planets with the trajectory highlighted on screen as well as the planet's orbits.
