Belinda from the surface of Cupid (Uranus). Belinda really is that close, just over 1000km away. Belinda is included in OuterPlanets, but Cupid is not (I added it myself, copying another moon's texture; in fact I added all the rest of Uranus's and Jupiter's moons, 8 of them in total. Saturn is still missing 13 though. Also, some of the numbered moons in OuterPlanets have names now.)

I was working on my upcoming Chapman-Ion (which I should probably rename, since it technically uses a Hall Thruster, not a Ion Thruster), and orbiting Ida's moon Dactyl (at only 100 meters) when I noticed my own shadow on the surface.

Trip to the ISS (unedited)

Nice simple trip to the ISS in the NASA VSE SC addon.
Might try the moon later on.

A couple of shots I took testing the screen capture addon

Feeling a bit caged in?

The CEV is capable of reaching Jupiter:

Almost back home:

Further information:

  • I had to use the LM descend stage and 20% of the LM ascend fuel as extra EDS stages
  • Departure MJD 58528; return MJD 59892
  • Earth atmosphere re-entry speed: 22 km/s

Why I use Orbiter...

One of the reasons I make add-ons: simulating the undock and flyaround of STS-119 in real time allows for images:

This image is shortly before the start of the flyaround as the sun came up behind Discovery.

This image was at the conclusion of the flyaround as the shuttle and station flew over Canada and out over the north Atlantic.

Hey PROrbiter, just curious, what are your atmospheric config settings? Looks nice! Is it from the atmospheric enhancement add-on or something customized?
