Orbiter Screenshot Thread

I am completely aware of the whole "Yo-dawg" factor of this. (I almost posted the pics with Xzibit on them).

A mini custom solar system still is one of the options; it would be a lot simpler to place the planes at the correct coordinates, oriented vertically and then scale them to the limit.

But the way I want this to behave is a single scenario through the eyes of a ummu. You walk up to the "lesson-area",→the animations and narration begin,→ you watch the lesson→ you walk to your spacecraft and do what you just watched.

I just got a crazy idea about base animations.

This may be a revolution in the way that people do bases for Orbiter, if it works...

Who says that the DG entering the hangar (or something else) can't open the hangar doors?

No one. For years I've had my Clavius Base dome in wo2001 open with a distance trigger via lua. Of course it is a vessel, but even if it wasn't you can load any mesh you want on the spot (or preload it) and animate it do whatever you want.

Okay, glad to hear that I didn't just stumble upon an obvious way of doing things that everyone else missed.

But fortunately yours does not exist IRL (I think), whereas mine does! :)
You right! My base is fictional, but I'll try to make it an acceptable form. It's on 46.06 N.

No, this was not inspired from a known game intro ...
BTW, do you know where this was taken?

I figured since they don't need it anymore, they wouldn't mind if I use it, in my portable SpaceSim.

You should consider a higher-res texture pack, once you are skilled enough to actually reach another planet. :salute:
