Orbiter Screenshot Thread

As it is no, but it dockable for manned servicing / refuel.

Indeed I was looking at the dual-keel design (same historical period) so the inspiration came from there. Of course Space Station Freedom is also on my "to build" list.

This is where I record all my Orbiter videos. I'd love to have a simpit someday.

Just a quickie on the way to ISS.

NASA-STP002x Captures Mars Surface Elements

This photo was captured by the Hovercam in the NASA-STP002x mission.

More shots from the NASA-STP002x mission. (Note : surface textures are part of the texture packages optionally available from the Orbiter2010 application download page on this forum. Thanks to whoever put those packages together, as it saves much trouble compared to getting all these texture files individually. For this mission, the relevant packages are planets_and_moons.zip and the Mars_091218_L11 packages.)

The DG-LDT happened to get a near pass of Phobos during the build of a parking orbit, here is the shot (edit: Distance to Phobos was erroneously reported earlier, approximate distance to Phobos is actually 1300km in this shot :

A picture I took while testing the failure simulation on my first development project. While spinning out of control, I captured this.

By the way, could you listen to a loop of this for some hours, or should the volume be turned down a little bit (or maybe pitch down to a lower frequency)? Currently it's played at full volume.

Constructing a space station, one little bit at a time. Soon enough it should be the shuttle dwarfed by the facility, and not the other way around.

Hey, where do I go to find out how to construct things in space, or deliver things that can constitute a surface base? Nice shots BTW, but let's see the station as you are building it!

There are a few packages at the hangar that have station "parts". Many of us use "piece-parts" and cobble a station together.

this is nice - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4351"]Mir-2 space station, release 1.1[/ame]

These are pretty common - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2857"]Various Space Station Modules[/ame]

And plenty here - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3177"]Space Station Building Blocks 4.1B[/ame]

Visually Awesome (and stand-alone, needs no additional add-ons)- [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5744"]Project-Outposts: Wet Workshops V2.1.0[/ame]

And real life - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3737"]International Space Station v.3.2[/ame]

If you did a search for "modules" at the hangar, the first few pages should give you a whole slew of things to choose from.

Keep in mind, several may need addition add-ons to function.
