Orbiter Screenshot Thread

My first ever produced rocket stage has reached the Orbiter world! :woohoo:

Successful Probe Mission to Mars

Successful Probe arrival to Mars Orbit.

Launched from KSC on an Atlas V 541 Rocket with a 5,000 kg payload.

A very enjoyable challenge with the Probe. Hail Probe!!! :hailprobe:

Under construction - Salyut 4, the first Soviet space station to house more than one crew. (there's a problem with texturing, but more on that later :P)

Whenever a fey mood takes me, I add another polygon or two to my KLC39 replacement. Progress is therefore slow, and I am not exactly a 3-D modeller. My only tool is Matlab, and each individual vertex is lovingly handcrafted. Here is the current state of the RSS. Total KLC39 polygon count so far: 4788. I hope to stay below 10000, which seems to be a lot less than some other models I've come across.

At the current rate of progress, it should be completed in time for Orbiter 2020 or thereabouts.

"martins is taken by a fey mood and has claimed a computer with 3ds max".

You should definitely give in to a fey mood before you go insane. Everyone that plays dwarf fortress knows that... :shifty:

Thanks Donamy for beautiful Cupola and very special thanks Thorton for ISS v3.2:cheers:

Large robotic nuclear-electric cargo tug suitable for a Jupiter expedition. Built using RC1 of IMS all thanks to jedida and the rest of the IMS gang.

Kinda reminds me, in a way, of the RDA interstellar craft they used in Avatar. :)

Looks like excessive radiator area for four VASIMRs... also, I can't see the reactors anywhere, but see two unknown modules in the front. You already started doing your own modules?

EDIT: no, wait! Those are the reactors! Blimey, have I forgotten to include their textures? And noone noticed yet?

Yes the radiators are sufficient for six engines/reactors, which I was lazy about and determined empirically by zapping the thing to sun-earth L1, turning prograde and burning half my prop at full gear, then seeing if anything was in the red. Great job all around, you guys, this add-on is a lot of fun.

Also, thought you'd like to know that the mesh for the large 1.5 meganewton gas-core engine seems to be missing in the release, but the config is still there.

Thanks, that's very helpful information. It's always tricky to get all your files together from folders where half of the files are deprecated. It's easy to miss something.

An unmanned small vessel for my first attempt with IMS.

Ugly but working...

Many thanks to the whole team. This addon is absolutely brilliant.

More IMS shenanigans inspired by the 2003 NASA HOPE study.

hUMMUn Distant Planets Exploration (HDPE) mission to the jovian moons--ready for spiral-out!

Consists of large nuclear-electric tug and two-place piloted deep-space habitat with regenerative food and life support. The solar panels won't be too useful at jupiter but give the vehicle some more autonomy as an interorbital ship.
