Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Dambuster: Thanks! :) Those are the HL-20 addon.

Ryan: Yea, I believe it came with arian 6, not sure on that, I'll have to check.

Just out of curiosity: is there some kind of mod that will make the in progress stations permanent or you guys just use the default.sc to mimic the building of the station module by module, updating it after each mission?

(current scenario).scn with appropriate backups for me :-)

here's my station so far

I think I'm on the 6th flight to it now

Ok. It's settled. I'm getting back into station building.

one of the best pictures i took so far

and the hardest mission i made in Orbiter, i think i really need start using AttitudeMFD and UniversalPointingMFD or turn Nonspherical gravity sources and Gravity-gradient torque off

yeah it's pretty catchy ;)

like your design, if you still are looking for some inspiration take a look at the Various Space Station Modules

Thanks, I was looking for something like this as Mustard's site doesn't seem to have all of the modules I wanted. Only thing, I downloaded this package and there are only a few scenarios it came with. A lot of them require Shuttle Fleet 3.9.2 which I don't even have. I tried the scenario editor too and I didn't see the new modules from this package available there.

yeah i know that is a little let down, all vessels in that package are spacecraft3 so it's not that easy to load them in a scenario.

i made a scenario with most of the modules from that pack, so you can copy and paste how you need them, you need the Various Space Station Modules & the Nebulus. i left the RMS vessels out because i don't know how to use them.

if you want to use that modules with the suttle fleet just add for example:

Code:
RadiatorTruss1:Spacecraft\Spacecraft3
  STATUS Landed Earth
  POS 0.0000000 0.0000000
  HEADING 0.00
  ATTACHED 0:0,[B]Endeavour[/B]
  NAVFREQ 0 0
END

change the name Endeavour with whatever you named the shuttle in your scenario

you might have to fiddle with this code
Code:
  PL1_OFS 0.000 0.000 0.000
  PL1_DIR 0.000 1.000 0.000
  PL1_ROT 0.000 0.000 1.000

in the space shuttle section so that the modules have the right position in the payload bay but most of them should work. or you do it like me and use the universal cargo deck ;)

Oceanic: Thanks for that mate, very helpful indeed! I can add stuff to the shuttle without problems, I just needed some sort of scenario as a template with all the vessels so I knew what values to enter in my scn.

Really appreciate the time you took to post this here, it will be very helpful for many I'm sure! :cheers:

Am I right to assume that we can look forward to another great Tex-film in the near future then? :D

it's a pleasure :)

i think i installed every station module out there in the past few days to build the station to my needs, i ran into many problems but i didn't want give up till i got the modules running.

one more thing, if you want to use the radiators like in the attached picture

you need to open the radiatortruss1.ini and radiatortruss2.ini

and add this for the first radiator

Code:
[DOCK_1] ; Truss Dock 2
POS=(0.948,-0.425,-1.6)
DIR=(0,0,-1)
ROT=(-1,0,0)

and this for the second

Code:
[DOCK_1] ; Truss Dock 2
POS=(0.948,-0.425,-1.6)
DIR=(0,0,-1)
ROT=(1,0,0)

just after the [DOCK_0] section

I wasn't thinking of that at the time, but now you mention it, the aircraft, and UMMU position does bear a little resemblance. This is the only use I can find for my UMMU plane, so I usually stage this kind of journey home.
