IMO Overdone.

1 - almost no contrast
2 - too "glossy"
3 - lensflare abuse :P
4 - unreadable

But I may be biased since I'm designing/editing/upgrading/modyfying 2-4 logos every day at work. ;)

Start with pure vector logo, and if you like it then add only nescessary special effects.

Analyze some existing ones and get inspiration from them, then add your "feel" :P

I'm not against lens flare in general. I only think logo isn't the best aplication for it. Simple gradients prove better in logos.

I created quick vector draft but remember than creating logo is slow process. Leave your project for 2 days and look on it with "fresh eye". Then modify it according to your feelings. repeat this after 2 more days.

example:

Wow, I didn't think I'd get this kind of feedback!! :P.

You are diffenately right there, Loru. I did abuse the lens flare. It was a 'quicky'. Your's looks great!

What program(s) did you use to create it, BTW? I'd like to make better looking ones.

Thanks.

I used Corel Draw X4 but like Eccentrus posted any decent vector drawing software will be good. I may only repeat: Adobe Ilustrator, Corel Draw or Inkscape.

Keep in mind that in those programs you don't work on pixels but on beizer lines and vertices. It's just like creating 2d Mesh :P

Space Shuttle Atlantis has returned from her Skylab-5 mission. She spent 12 days in orbit and 8 of those days docked to Skylab-II. Thanks to Atlantis and her crew (and of course personel on the ground) Skylab-II is now 1 step closer to permanent residency

Thanks for the compliment, but I can't code. If someone wants too, I'd be grateful.

I hope someone will code it in nice clean way. :D

I want to launch it on Themis-A

For all those who've been helping me on the SDK forum and via PM....

(Moach, Agent Gonzo, Jedidia, Glider, Urwumpe, C3PO, and too many others to thank)

...Here's a peek at what I've been working on.
