Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Orbiter movie in production now... :)

Can we expect a 300 joke?

That's a serious load of clips. If they were recorded without loss in full resolution, you must not have much free disk space ATM.

Haha, nah, but I used part of the soundtrack.

I record at full resolution and currently the raw footage for this film is using about 27GB. I've still gotta shoot another sequence of scenes, shoot a few replacement clips, then add sound effects and post processing filters before it's finished though.

This reminds me of the Apollo 13 movie for some reason...

EDIT:

Getting really close now.

Drifting...

If the DG had TCAS, it would be going crazy.

Positioning.

dgorbiter26.png

Directly ahead.

dgorbiter27.png

Almost there...

HARD DOCK! :woohoo:

First EVA on Mars! (For real... I'm ashamed to tell that I've never walked on another planet then the Earth and the moon)

Quick Moon Mission

I left my laptop behind at Brighton Beach... Really needed it back on Earth...

Long journey, feeling a little bored; time for a spot of proofreading!

I really love this thread.
My pics are no way as good as other peoples' (that shot by Tex - like, woah man, that is awesome!), but it still feels kind of great picturing doing some pretty cool stuff in this amazing piece of software that some very nice person has given us...

I wish they would show the photos already !

In the future, I plan to make a station like this:

(Constructed by Scenario Editor)

Also, while I was mucking around with the Pollux-Castor add-on:

is that some kind of super-dragonfly? packed in a cargo it would be real nice if you want to build several orbital stations around other celestial bodys. Is it on OH? if yes please link, if no please upload.

I have brought my cruiser to saturn, ad already atmo-breaked, later I'll make titan-transfer, but inbetween I'll make another Apollo-11 (It's always different, since Ilove changing plans and doing te mission anoter way. follow instructions is one thing, a cool challenge ist to try to g back safely, after you did the mission in a completely other way... I'll still try letting it realistic and I'll post screenshots/scenarios/records/movies...

It's not on OH as it is still a work in progress.

It actually started an attempt to make a "Folding" Dragonfly that would fit in a shipping container or STS Cargo Bay.

Unfortunatly my meager C++ knowledge was not able to keep up with my imagination or detailed CAD Drawings and the project stalled. Now I'm teaching myself to code and the Caterpillar has become its own beast.

STS-134 in Orbiter 2010 P1

Here is a screenshot from my two-monitor system, watching STS-134 in real-time. Note that the updated ISS fleet will have truss lights and SSRMS lights and individual dialog boxes for control of the station functions while not the selected vehicle (I really needed this ability...)

Dave

p.s., this is real-time as I post this (off the coast of S. America)
