Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Don't Forget ;)

Though at this stage there could be an extention

Dont you like my pics?

When will it be extended to?

G'day all,

Just been admiring everyone's great shots.
Am wondering if there is a way to take sceenshots in Orbiter without the text displays in the left and right top corners?
I wish to use these screen caps in an unedited image comp, therefore cropping the images after capture would be considered having been edited.
Any clues?

Press (I) removes text from corners

Tribute to LazyD

I was messing around with AMSO and the LazyD Memorial scenario. Came across this perspective while circling the memorial in the rover. View from the Commander's seat looking right. When I first panned to it, it just seemed...don't know how to describe it. Memorial, flag, Earth above memorial. Astronaut contemplating it all.

Rest In Peace, LazyD.

Click pic below, then click the pic from the ImageShack link for full size (you can scroll the full-size pic).

That's very nice, if you actually look at Buzzs face he looks like he's frowning in a way. I like the earths kind of sitting on top of the blue spiral. I was going to say it was the moon on top of the spiral and i said to myself wait a sec, that cant be right.

Apollo 11 didn't have a Lunar Rover. So that can't be Buzz Aldrin.

Venting gone MAD.

Can't resist a contest, so here are my entries

First, a tribute to the Columbia crew, called "Last Time Round" which shows them on their final deorbit, 1st Feb 2003

The second continues the Apollo AMSO screenshot tradition and is an attempt to recreate the historic photo of Pete Conrad alongside Surveyor 3

Hi all. This is my first post. So, maybe the better way to land here is in this threrad. I,ve working on textures a lot of years, from FS to MSTS or Orbiter, so I,ve customize (only for my own use) a lot of things in every simulator I have. This is a simple hobby but I like it. :)

An example. This is the Soyuz TMA flying around my PC....

If you shared your custom textures you could contribute to the orbiter experience of every user by making it look nicer :) though thats only a suggestion...

Hi Whatu, compatriota.

I did not suppose the textures I,ve made have any interest for the community, but i´ll be glad to share it if you think they can be useful.

I,ve made this textures for my own use, so I need to request Soyuz author permission first if I want to share it in any public way.

Till that moment, if anyone wants the Soyuz textures, please, send me a Private Message with an email, and I,ll be glad to send the textures to you.

Oh my god! An Spanish meeting!! Well, where are the Cervezas? :P

Regards!!

P.D-> Moe please, share with the rest community that textures, they are superb really!!

Haaaaah... We are like Spanish students learning english in Belfast, talking in english among us..... :P.

Sure, I.ll request permission from Soyuz mesh author to publish the textures. I´ll be very happy if my little work is useful for you. So sometimes this things are very complicated. I´m working now over Shuttle textures. Screeenshot soon.

But repeat, the only correct way till I´d get the permission is though Private Messages with an email. I,ll be glad to send the textures to you.

P.D. Las cervezas las pongo yo.

Ryan,

It's just a digital painting by the amazing digitalblasphemy.com and I added some Orbiter ships on top of it. All done in Photoshop.

Hail probe! :)

A couple of views of the Earth occulting Mars as seen from Lunar orbit earlier this year. You can just make out Phobos and Deimos on the first image
