I couldn't guess a date, but when I was talking to Martin on Skype a while back we had a good laugh about the release date being on Tuesday. I'm quite sure the almighty probe will align things in the universe perfectly for a Tuesday release, you guys just don't know which Tuesday yet. :)

hehe....so, I take it we can pencil everyone here in for the 500,000,000-point "Tuesday" bonus? ;)

Yeah, after all the nagging, I'm sure Martin will do everything in his power to release it on a Tuesday :probe:

4. If you post your guess within two weeks of the actual release date, it will not count (although you will still get 200 "consolation" points if yours is the closest guess when all the "valid" guesses are included). This rule is to prevent you from waiting until it's clear development is just about finished, and then posting a guess.

I'll bet 50 points that, just because you made this rule, the release date will be within 2 weeks of the date of your original post. :p

According to the revised Apollo 11 flight plan, the next release of Orbiter is scheduled to occur at 354,000 hours even, ground elapsed time.

(December 3, 2009 at 9:32:00 EST. Sorry, it's a Thursday.)

It had better be on a Tuesday! I will be sorely disappointed if that particular point of humor is passed over. ;)

hehe...let's hope not! If it is, I'll have to amend that rule ;)

You have neglected to take into account the 24 leap seconds introduced into the UTC time scale since 1972. So that would be 2009-12-03 13:32:34 UTC :p

I'm certain we could make up the lost time with a bit of a course correction...
