Software Orbiter Crashes on Startup

Hi,
I just recently discovered Orbiter after I became interested in the Apollo missions. I then discovered the AMSO Apollo add-on which I tried to install but I must have done it wrong because everytime I tried to load one of the Apollo scenarios it would say Orbiter terminated or something like that and then automatically close out. Then after a while, even trying any mission, including the ones that came with Orbiter, it would do the same thing then quit.
I was wondering if I have to reinstall and if so, can someone please tell me how to then properly install the AMSO add-on?

You may have to install one of the AMSO patches. Or if you've already done that, reinstall AMSO and don't install the patches. Or maybe just the first patch, try all different combinations.

Also, what modules have you enabled?

I also am not sure if I even installed AMSO correctly but I will try what to you told me

Alright, will do.
I also went to download the patches but none of their descriptions applied to my problem so I didn't bother downloading them. I will try activating my modules today but I think I must have just installed it wrong because I had no idea how to install it. I opened the AMSO download folder and I put each of the folders in the AMSO file into its corresponding Orbiter folders. Then I took the files out the AMSO folder and put the files into the corresponding folders....if that makes any sense.

Since Orbiter installation is in fact...well...not an installation, it's really easy to reset things, if you happen to screw them up.
Even more if you've just started with Orbiter, and you have few add-ons to reinstall, if at all.

I assume that in a safe place on your HD you already have Orbiter, AMSO 1.19 and its P2 and P2a patches (c'mon, go and download them).

So, delete your current Orbiter folder, and create a new folder for your new clean Orbiter "Install".
Unzip/extract "orbiter100830.zip" into this folder.
Unzip "AMSO-119.zip" into this folder.
Unzip AMSO patches in the same folder.
Start the Launchpad.

Can't be easier.

To enhance your experience I reccommend you to download "AMSO Sound Expansion Pack" and Dansteph OrbiterSound, too...

The "Sound Expansion Pack" must be extracted into Orbiter folder, just like the other files.
OrbiterSound is an exe, and must be run.

My orbiter is not a zip file and neither is my AMSO? Is there a certain way I was supposed to install them?

It may also help to post your orbiter.log so we can accurately assess the problem, and possibly provide an answer. Remember to use

So you downloaded the MSI installer version instead?

Alright so now Orbiter is working after I reinstalled it and now I am going to try and reinstall AMSO and its patches.
Also, I am new to Orbiter and I was trying to find my Orbiter log but I am not sure where to find it?

In the main folder. Orbiter/Orbiter.log, open with Notepad or other simple text editors.
