Hey folks. I've recently installed 2010/P1, all the planet textures, a few MFDs, and a couple ships, and then... It does exactly what it says in the title. Mind you, I've not single-variable controlled stress tests to figure out where the problem began (I installed everything before I ran it the first time), but that stuff's time consuming, so I figured I'd ask first and see if it was some simple thing I missed before flying off on an experimental tangent... :p

I've attached relevant information. The picture lists all the files I have used to create my installation, and the DxDiag lists info about my machine. Thanks!

The files you have attached say next to nothing. I don't see from that picture which add-on could be causing problems. Can you also attach at least Orbiter.log and Orbiter.cfg, and if you know how, the error reporting log for the exception?

Is there a window that says there was an error and Orbiter needs to close, or is it just returning to desktop without saying anything?

Please read this article on how to ask for help with an Orbiter issue.

When I fire it up, it loads everything normally up to \Textures2\Mars_tile.bin, and then gives a visual C++ runtime error: "Abnormal Program Termination."

I looked at the event viewer, but didn't find anything in there related to this.

Are you sure the file hasn't been a) corrupted b) truncated?
