You mean even a fresh & clean installation (from today) crashes?

Any Windows Updates installed?
Checked for viruses?

I have the latest stable. I do not the like betas.

I also had the same issue with a clean install. When I updated to the latest Beta, my crashes stopped - at least the crashes to the desktop. I still have a tendency to crash into the surface of a planet from time to time.

I would suggest at least trying to install the latest Beta into a separate folder and see what happens. At least then you'll be able to narrow down whether the issue is with Orbiter, or your PC.

Oh, and you might try turning off "Local Light Sources" in the Launchpad. On one of my computers, it crashes to desktop every single time when I have it enabled. My other computers work ok though.

If it's crashing with "Graphics: Active lights supported: -1" in the Orbiter.log file, then one the solutions is to use beta versions of Orbiter (newer than Orbiter 2010-P1).
