it has been awhile since i used orbiter. how do i calculate what my orbit is from the info on the orbit mfd? i can not find my files i had the info in. it seems i remember there was a constant for the earth i would subtract from the PeR and ApR that would give me actual orbit numbers.

That constant would be the mean radius of the Earth - 6371 km. Alternatively, you could press the "DST" button and the display will toggle between radius mode (PeR/ApR) and altitude mode (PeA/ApA).
