there's the official high res lights that come with the level 11/14 texture, and then stuff like this:

which is better? :shrugs: matter of taste i suppose.
Also if you turn down the night lights parameter in the orbiter video control panel if that helps. I wonder how relatively bright street lights are from space...??

this is a cool article about city lights from space with nice pictures. judging by the starlight in the picture of england, my guess is that the cities are fairly bright to the eye
