Guess you'll have to watch and see?
Or head over to the spoilers thread.

Nah, he's on the casting list, so his presence in the movie is not a secret. Also, you see a veiled luke in one of the trailers (putting his robotic hand on R2). So the secret isn't whether luke's in the movie, but what he's up to... and I don't know that myself yet.

Simple logic here...

Movie made money => movie good.
Great movie made money => movie good.
Crap movie made money => movie good.
Great movie made no money => movie crap.

If that was reference to my comment about how much it made, I wasn't using that as justification for it being good. As a matter of fact the argument I hate most when it comes to discussing movies is 'well it made a ton of money so it must be good'. I was simply amazed that a movie could make that much money in a single weekend (especially not having been released in a major market).

No, i wasn't talking about "so it must be good", but that a movie ultimately is made to supply money into the pockets of it's makers.
From that point of view, it was a very good movie.

This is an old debate. As an investment, it's a very successful film.

As a work of cinematic art, that's a whole different question, which is subjective. The only sort of objective thing you can measure about it will be its legacy and influence, which will take time to pan out.

Don't waste the money on 3D for this one. It doesn't add much and it obscures the lightsabers somewhat.
Actually, it wasn't bad in 3D, and only 3 PLN (~$0.75) more than for 2D. I quite liked a Star Destroyer (I don't think it's a spoiler - the one in space :p) sticking out of the screen. I can always watch the 2D version on small screen once it's released.

Now I can safely go watch the 4DX version, which I was worried that its additional effects would distract too much from the screen. Now that one is twice the price I paid for 3D and will be probably a waste of money.

My daughter and I agree. That Star Destroyer hovering in front of our faces was easily one of the better 3D visuals of the movie.

Designs in that film actually were pretty good. Story was not in my opinion.

In fact, it is the first Star Wars movie that don't introduce any new space fighter - I know, the X-Wings aren't the same of the old trilogy (they are model T-70 versus T-65), but... basically the same spacecrafts.

The new Imperial VIP shuttle is a new design, replacing the Tyderion Shuttle.

Just noticed that yesterday. Disney seems intent on building its own extended universe now that they killed the old one, and to do so in movie format.

This could turn out incredibly awesome, or completely disastrous. Though with the roll disney is on with almost anything they're throwing out lately, I'm actually pretty optimistic :)
