June 2010

NASA Administration has approvered the reallocation of funds to finish Space Station freedom and hasten the finishing of the complex. Several Shuttle flights will be canceled and the funding for these flights will be used to quicken the development of the Shuttle-C program. Up to five shuttle flights my see the axe and their payloads will be re-manifested to ether another shuttle or one of the limited Shuttle-C flights that will be available. Which flights that will be cut has not been determined as of yet. The Shuttle-C program has been in development for several years now and was expected to be completed for active duty within the next year. With the additional funds the first vehicle will be ready for flight as soon as Nov of this year. The addition funds will also allow more vehicles to be produced. These flights will be given the designation of SCS for Shuttle C System. Attached is the SCS program patch. (Also attached is the HL-20 patch and the SSF patch I made. Feel free to use for your own things:cheers:)

UPDATE: July 01 2010

So far, two Shuttle-C flights are in the early planing stages. The first, will send up most of the truss system up to the SSF. The second will send components to Skylab-B once it's launched from VAFB early 2011. Hopefully, SSF will be mostly completed by the time Skylab is ready for launch. One of the five shuttles will be sent to Vanderburg and be stationed permanetly on the west coast. The most likly to go are one of the two newest Orbiters, Enterprise or Constitution.
