If you turn on the planetarium mode you can tell what stars you are heading towards, or at least what constellation

Hi, Statickid!

Yes, I know. The background stars is for display purposes for now and it might be possible to fly to those stars in the future versions of orbiter!

Hi, spaceflight!

I'm not sure if I'm at the edge of the orbiter universe or not. I'm 130,964 AU away from the sun. I did not modify any thrust settings. I'm using the Dan Steph's Deltaglider IV.

Cheers,
Vincent

There is no 'edge' to the orbiter universe, your distance from the sun just gets larger and larger until your computer can't handle the number any more and Orbiter crashes.

Hi, jangofett287!

That makes sense! Thanks! Somebody said on this on this forum somewhere you can go as far as 1.79x308 meters away from the sun before the orbiter crashes.

Vincent

Him guys!

I'm now 135,942 AU or 20,336,758,000,000 kilometers away from the sun and moving at the speed of 1,140,911 kilometers per second! I'm slowing the spacecraft down to a complete stop until the spacecraft is at rest. (It's going to take a while before the spacecraft is at 0 meters per second or at rest)!

Hi, guys!

I forgot to tell you, I'm not experimenting to see how far out I can go in orbiter, I'm doing my epic space flight just for fun.

I hope this ship is equipped with cameras and instrumentation. It may very well be mankind's first look at the edge of the universe.
