Hi, guys!

I'm now 162,461 AU or 24,303,882,000,000 kilometers away from the sun and moving at the speed of 1,027,122 kilometers per second!

Wait, so you're getting closer to the Sun, but decelerating? Or are you so far away that solar gravity isn't playing a role in your velocity or trajectory anymore?

EDIT: Quoted your last post as reference.

Hi, RisingFury!

Yes, I started a new thread because my other thread is old and because It's not good to necropost old threads.

Hi, TMac3000!

I'm not heading to any constellation, I'm just flying off into deep space just for the fun of it! Thanks!

Vincent

You have to be heading toward some constellation whether you want to or not.

Constellations are directions, not locations.

Here is how to find out:

Hit F9 to bring up the planetarium.

Then press F4. Press "visual helpers" button. Then under the "planetarium" tab check "lines" and "labels"in the "constellatons" section.

Now go to your HUD in orbit view. You should be able to see what constellation your prograde marker is in.

So, are you saying that you can pass the speed of light in orbiter? :nono: I dunno.... so, light speeds are only Einstein physics?

No idea, but I know my speed!

Newtonian physics is not incompatible with a finite speed of light, but there is nothing special about the speed of light in Newtonian physics, unlike in relativity where it plays the roll of the maximum speed at which matter (and information) may travel.
