your gonna want to rotate just the 1st stage by 60 degrees to the right, so that the green "pedals" of the launch pad hexagon line up with the areas in-between the engine and oxidizer tanks (that's where the fueling and electrical cables go)

should have rotated 30 degrees

I think the DOS modules (Salyut, Mir and Zvezda) had fairings only on the forward ends, leaving the aft cylindrical section exposed during launch.

Yep, for DOS modules, they do only cover the top portions. These are what I've used as references when I compiled 4throck's Soyuz 7K addon for O2016 a few years ago
