I've uploaded to Orbit Hangar a 'First-Draft' version of what I hope will become a full fledged set of scenario's covering a 2005 proposal to use a Soyuz and a booster stage to carry tourists around the Moon.

See: http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=3829

There are two different versions of the proposal. First two launches. One carrying a modified Soyuz TMA & one carrying the booster into orbit where they dock and the booster then sends the Soyuz around the moon. I'm hoping to develop scenarios to cover both options. Any help that can be given will be greatly appreciated.

2. Space Adventures: Lunar Details

The second more complicated proposal has the tourist visit the ISS with the flight around the moon taking place on the return portion of his trip.

Do you know how to develop scenarios? If not I can help you.
Have you made the Soyuz by yourself?

I'm at the 'modify existing scenarios' stage of learning to write scenarios and I'm trying to use existing models if I can to simplify things.

I'm using the CVEL SoyuzTMA 0.6 for the spacecraft since it is (at present) the only version available (Until Castorp finishes 'October Sky'). In the two test scenarios I've currently created I've been using the Selene-B NERVA stage created by Hispanorbiter as the booster stage. (See the attached pictures)

One is from the scenario I uploaded to OrbitHangar, the second if from my other test scenario which uses an equatorial orbit as it's startpoint.

I have a fairly clear idea of both the order of the scenarios and what they need to contain. I'll post more on them tomorrow.

Small update rather than the discussion of the scenarios, I may have found my booster to replace the Selene-B, it's also by Hispanorbiter. It's the Pinzon Mk1 which I found on his geocities site (It's also the only one not on Orbithangar, if anyone has no objections I'll upload it so that if the Geocities site goes down it will not be lost.)

I may be moving the tourism operations to French Guyana at the rate things are going ;)

Further update.

Work is progressing on the scenario(s) for this. A flight test using the Pinzon & TMA with 98% fuel in the Pinzon & 70% fuel in the TMA resulted in a successful injection from a 51.5 degree orbit with 0.02% fuel remaining in the Pinzon after the burn. This confirms the information in the source documents in the OP about how critical the fuel margins in this setup are.

Looks like the Soyuz is going to be the active partner in the docking.

I've flown various incarnations of the scenario to the Lunar encounter stage, but I've not yet taken it as far as re-entry which is going to be a pretty rough one from the looks of things.

I've [ame=http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3519]updated the scenario on Orbit Hangar[/ame] to the new version. If anyone has tried this out let me know how you went, especially on re-entry

Any idea where one might find the Pinzon Mk1 these days? The Geocities site is no more, and I've tried the major add-on sites plus numerous Google searches without any luck.
