There seem to be limits to how many ships you can have in game while running Ummu. Whenever I try to make an "ultimate" scenario with a couple dozen ships, Ummu breaks down. It will let me exit a ship and roam around just fine, but when I try to enter the airlock, orbiter freezes and I am forced to reboot. Anyone else experience this issue? Any possible solutions?

I had the same issue, not sure if it is related but exiting a fully loaded XR5 to examine a missing aileron, oops:P, went smoothly but reentering caused a freeze. Not sure what caused it but since it wasn't a clean install I gave it the benefit of the doubt.

This is almost certainly caused by a buggy third-party add-on. Some add-ons do not behave correctly when a vessel is deleted in the sim, which is what happens when a UMMu astronaut re-enters a ship. As a test, I recommend testing in a clean installation and then installing your add-ons one-at-a-time and re-testing until the freeze occurs. That will pin down the problem add-on.

Remember that any buggy add-on can cause a freeze or a crash at any time, so what you are seeing is not necessarily (and, in fact, very likely not) a Vanguard or UMMu bug.

This problem seems to be a reoccurring limitation with UMMU or Orbiter (or possibly some other addon that we happen to be using), I believe that Orbiter cannot keep up with the code due to the large number of vessels present.

Im inclined to agree with you for the most part.... but this particular problem only occurs with ummu. I've seen no other issues with orbiter scenarios using large numbers of vessels. However, it turns out that I only had to cut one more vessel from this scenario (at time of original post) for ummu to work again. Testing in the last 20 min, it doesnt seem to matter which one I cut.

Its apparent to me that the issue was solely having too many ships in a scenario running ummu1.5 and not an issue with any other third party addons. Oh well, its good to know at least. Thanks for the help.
