Yes, its that time again. Not as funny as the Eurovision Song Contest, but has its moments:

and:

Hm, that's the next Monty Python title in my queue. Hope it's better than the Holy Grail one.

It depends on your preferences... If you're only halfways into medieval history/culture and/or Arthurian legend, Holy Grail is tough to beat.

Life of Brian has a lot more bite when it comes to politics, though.

What did the Romans ever do for us?

Forgot about that, could be derived from this?

I remember Malcom Muggeridge. Not sure what his claim to fame was.
Typical of the intellectuals that thought the BBC was their natural home.

N.

EDIT:
Nice bit of English snobbery when Muggeridge has a go at Clees about his second-rate public school(private in the UK, very expensive). 7:14 in.

Forgot how class ridden the uk was then, not much better now.

Another EDIT:
Interesting comment from Palin about taking current English situations and putting them back in historical situations. 4:20 in.

Best get this in:

Fourty years old.... and still banned on Good Friday in Germany.

Still, the best Monty Python movie is none... its Brazil. (It had Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin though)

Indeed a good movie, sadly not a happy ending.

N.

Is it really banned?

It is odd, I used it as its short and has the relevant dialogue.

The editor is a very naughty boy!

Actually, the best bits are missing. And I'm of course referring to "We are all individuals" and "Are you a virgin?"

True, but I just wanted the punch-line.

I'm Spartacus!
