It allows you to edit your keymap.cfg file.

Having keyboard layout problems when using a laptop?
Now you can create your own custom keyboard layout.

For Orbiter 2006 P1.

This no longer works for newer Windows systems (Vista onwards).
Disable UAC, or put Orbiter somewhere other than the Program Files directory (I use C:\Games\Orbiter 2006)

My Orbiter install was never in Program files (I've had problems with that before)
Also, I did what you said (assuming UAC stands for User Account Control), and I continue to get the following error message:

What does the "See details" say? Maybe there is a name of missing component (probably a part Visual Basic 5 Runtime - MSVBM50.dll).

You need Microsoft Visual Basic 5 Runtime Libraries for this to work.

Yes, you're right. Clicking 'see details gives the message "This program requires MSVBVM5-.DLL, which is no longer included in this version of Windows."
I found VB5 as you explained, and the program works fine now. The only odd thing is that I had manually downloaded it last year when I got this computer, and it seems to have mysteriously disappeared (likely sometime in December after I stopped using it). What the crap.
Anyway, thanks for that. Cheers!

"The specified file does not exist", when I try to download from orbithangar?

Do NOT use this with Orbiter 2010! It is hard-coded for 2006 keymaps and will wipe out the new 2010 keymaps as I found to my cost. Edit keymap.cfg manually instead.

Hi there! very interested this thread... I'm about to reconfigure my keymap.cfg, but one question: what is the name of the file that manages the standard joystick tab in the launch panel? is it easy/possible to edit that one too?

thx in advance ;)

For the joystick I'm using JoytoKey. Simple, and works very well.

Thks, Molson, I too use joy2key, but unfortunately it doesn't recognize one of the 5 axis on my rig, and it doesn't manage progressive motion of axis... therefore I have to use it side by side with the standard joystick tab in the launch panel: my problem is that the standard joystick manager in orbiter automatically assigns Hover commands ("0" and ".") to button 3 and 4 of any joystick.

Now, since Joy2key doesn't override the standard Joystick manager of orbiter, I'm going crazy trying to remove this standard association of Hover commands from my buttons "3" and "4".

anybody knows where standard orbiter joystick config file is? I'm so curious to take a look at it ;)

please fix

when i try to download the addon this is displayed [[The specified file does not exist]] please let me download so i can post a review. thanks
