I thank you all for the prom advice. I did see her there, dancing with what looked like a boyfriend, so no harm done.
Anyway, there was so much going on, i'll split it up into topics:
Grand March
Prom
Post-Prom
Drama
Grand March:
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it is just a showcase of everybody who is going to prom, and who they are taking. It went alright, i had to wait in-line for a long time, but whatever. I went with a group of friends, Katie (my ex-girlfriend), Kate (a girl who likes me), and Brian (a friend who was just kinda there for the entire night/morning). All of us were going single, so I decided to escort one of the girls out on the floor. I REALLY wanted to escort Katie (because I still like her (i'll get to that later)), but I ended up escorting Kate.
Prom:
Prom was a blast! They played actually halfway decent music, good food, awesome desert, and just an overall fun time. I went in a tux with a black shirt, white vest, white tie. Katie went in a BIG poofy tealish dress (I'll post pictures when i get them). Kate went in a hand-made blue dress. Brian went in a black shirt, blue vest, blue tie tux. I danced with both Katie and Kate to avoid Drama (once again, i'll explain later). But overall, it was pretty awesome.
Post-Prom:
Once again, for those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it is an after party where you get out of the formal clothes, and just do a bunch of relaxing things. Post prom started about 1AM this morning, and ended at about 4. There were two main things i did: Sumo Suit Wrestling, and Comedy sports. Sumo suit wrestling was a fun thing because I am a wrestler (not pro. Highschool wrestling). I faced a friend of mine who regularly works out, so he had a muscle advantage on me. However, the giant paded suits deminshed that, and I got him with my weight (I'm 185. Hes 140.)
Comedy sports was so funny! They had a couple people go up and participate, and one of the "jokesters" of our school had to participate. However, after it was done, things got kinda boring...until after I got on the bus, and realized that I had left my car key in the tux pocket, which I gave to people at Post prom. I got it back today, but My mom had to run me a car key at 4 AM...thank you mom ^^
Drama:
Okay, so, heres the scoop:
I dated Katie last year for 9 months. 3 months in, her dad was diagnosed with brain cancer, and, long story short, we broke up. Now, Kate likes me A LOT (since 7th grade, and were almost ending 11th grade). And, Katie and Kate are best friends. So, as you can imagine, things are kinda hard.
Grand March-During the grand march, I did the little "buff out your arms so the ladies can grab on to them" thing, and both Katie and Kate grabbed on (seperate arms)(At this point, I had no idea Katie liked me. I still like her. I know Kate likes me, but I dont like her). I could tell by the way Katie grabbed my arm that she missed doing that.
On the bus ride to Prom, without me prompting, she did that same thing again (hooked her arm in mine). She also tried holding my hand. I complied.
Prom-I danced with both Katie and Kate. The reason is, if I only danced with Katie, I would ruin Kate's prom night, and thus she'd cry, and then that would ruin my night. If I only danced with Kate, I wouldn't have any fun. So, I went for happy medium and danced with both. But then, a mutual friend of Kate and I pulled me aside and told me "Kate really wants you to dance with her on the last dance". I thought to myself "s**t", cuz i wanted to do that with Katie. So, the last dance came, and I did something. Not sure if its a sin or not, but....I danced with both of them. At the same time. After the dance, Kate started crying (eventually, she told me it was because she saw so many couples, and she knew we would never be like that). But, after the dance, I saw Katie kinda mad, and she was pissed at Kate. She said it was because we had to watch our step to not make her all depressed (which is kind of true). NOTE: I know it seemed like I was leading Kate on. It was ONLY so I wouldn't ruin her night
Katie and I held hands on the bus ride to post prom. She initated most of them.
Prom-Post prom went better. I spent a lot of time flirting with Katie, but nothing to special. I just tried to keep it hidden from Kate.
