Everytime, when I load this scenario, (or another one with JBrian's LC41) the LC41 "vessel" stands vertical, on the side.....
I have added the line meshname = b_lc41 in the b_lc41 config file, otherwise the meshes are not visible.
Sorry my bad english, I'm Italian

:lol: ..always looking for new recruits to the cause ;)

Hmmm, sounds like the b_slc41.dll is not working for you - make sure you have it in your Orbiter/Modules/ folder.

Alternatively, you can try adding this line to your b_slc41.cfg file:
Code:
TouchdownPoints = 0 365 -0.001  365 -365 -0.001  -365 -365 -0.001
This should, at least, put the mesh right way up.

OK, I'm off to try and get to JUNO to Jupiter :) Looks like it'll have to be a TransX launch since the first target is Earth after two DSM's.

Before I go, here's some info from Horizons website:
** PRE-LAUNCH PLANNING TRAJECTORY **
LAUNCH : Aug 7-27 2011 (Horizons trajectory: Aug 18, 2011 16:11:23 CT)
ARRIVE JUPITER: Aug 3, 2016 (JOI into 78-day capture orbit)
END OF MISSION: Oct 16, 2016 (de-orbits on apojove 33, Jupiter impact on periapse 34)

The Juno spacecraft (New Frontiers mission-class) will investigate Jupiter's origins, interior structure, deep atmosphere and magnetosphere, from a highly elliptical polar orbit with a close perijove (PJ=1.06 Jupiter-radii, AJ= 39 Jupiter-radii), using a suite of seven science instruments.

Main events:
Launch Aug 7-27 2011 (Horizons trajectory): 2011-Aug-18 16:11:23 CT

Deep space maneuvers (DSMs) : 2011-Jul-08 18:00 CT (365 m/s)
2011-Jul-10 18:00 CT (414 m/s)

Solar conjunction near DSM : 2012-Aug-14 20:50 CT (2.3 AU)

Earth flyby : 2013-Oct-12 09:19:55 CT @ 800 km alt.

Additional solar conjunctions on interplanetary phase:
: 2014-Aug-10 (3.4 AU)
: 2015-Sep-09 (5.0 AU)

Jupiter orbit insertion (JOI) (near perijove 0, into 78-day capture orbit):
: 2016-Aug-03 00:30 CT (480 m/s)

Period reduction maneuver (PRM) (near perijove 1):
: 2016-Oct-19 18:00 CT (592 m/s)
(PRM reduces period to "11-days" (~10.9725 days))

De-orbit maneuver at apojove 33 : 2017-Oct-11 07:34:32 CT (75 m/s)

Atmospheric impact : 2017-Oct-16 18:40:16 CT

SPACECRAFT PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Solar-powered, spin-stablized spacecraft
1 rpm in interplanetary cruise, 2 rpm in Jupiter orbit
Three 2x9 m solar panels equally spaced around hexagonal bus (20 m span)
High-gain antenna

PROPULSION:
Bipropellant engine: Leros 1B, thrust= 635 N, Isp= 316.2 s min.
RCS thrusters
Orbit trim maneuvers (OTMs) occur on each orbit at perijove +4 hrs,
beginning at PJ3 (total ~38 m/s). Target desired longitude at descending node after perijove.
Total delta-V budget: 2107 m/s (~1852 m/s on bi-prop; remainder on RCS)

The Lockheed-Martin JUNO .pdf gives the fuel mass as "more than 4400lbs" (~1793kg) - which, by my reckoning, means the spacecraft empty mass is ~1463kg

Happy orbiting :)

Ooops! Just got a CTD at fairing separation - the Config/Vessels/Juno/AV021.ini file [PAYLOAD] section has an error. I fixed it by changing the line
MeshName="JUNO_STOWED"
to
MeshName="JUNO"

Cheers,
Brian

PS I know I have previously managed to plan orbit-ejects in TransX, including a DSM before encountering the next target (did it for Stardust), but I can't remember how to set it up in TransX! Anyone know the trick?

Another Update released! Is the JUNO Final Update. The update installs the JUNO main Engine and fixes the BrianJ fairing separation bug! So have fun! And the next spacecraft is the Mars Global Surveyor.

---------- Post added at 09:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:59 PM ----------

Oh! Correction: The next spacecraft is the MGS, but I'm thinking in the MAVEN, the new Mars Orbiter.

Hi,

congratulation for this great work.
I have a question :
Is there any launch auto-pilot include ?
Or do I have to do it manually ?
I installed it and it's working perfect here.
I suppose I could set the flight plan with IMFD but I'm unable to find any launch auto pilot for this spacecraft.

thanks for your answer and for the job.

I've installed the final update but I've got a CTD. I'm not sure whether this happens when something separates from something because I obviously don't get that far.
Orbiter.log shows something like this (I'm not sure if this helps, though):
Code:
>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
---------------------------------------------------------------
>>> ERROR: Stage
>>> [Vessel::OpenConfigFile | .\Vessel.cpp | 252]

---------- Post added at 23:55 ---------- Previous post was at 22:35 ----------

I seem to have found the solution to this glitch.

I've put the JUNO.cfg file, which you can find in the 'Config' folder, also into the 'Orbiter\Config\Spacecraft' folder. But how and, what's more important, why this gets everything back on an even keel I can't say.

Ah... and I had to create a new Stage.cfg file which I put into the 'Orbiter\Config' file. This file contains two lines:
Code:
ClassName = stage
Module = stage

I've no idea why it is so, I've just copied it from one very similar add-on. If someone could expand on it I'd be grateful.

Does anyone else find that JUNO is unstable to rotate around it's longitudinal axis?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

Wow! Thanks! 1.013 downloads! And sorry by the bugs, I'm just starting to create add-ons! And the Mars Global Surveyor project was paused, soon I'll restart this project, but I'm working on a new spacecraft!
But it's a secret!:cheers:
Bye!

It would be nice to have the readme in a format that is readable for everyone. .docx is not.
