I've recently bought a cheap but decent joystick, and I'm trying to set it up. The stick has 3 axes and a throttle, a hatswitch, and 12 buttons (6 on the stick, 6 on the base). I tried to set it up in FlyByWire so that the rotational RCS was controlled by stick movement and the translational RCS was controlled by the hatswitch and 2 buttons. The rotation works, but the hatswitch is still controlling the view, and does nothing with the RCS. Does anyone know a way to deactivate Orbiter's default hatswitch view control?
I've also been thinking about using Joy2Key to run the RCS just through the hatswitch and 2 other buttons. Would I still need to deactivate the default hatswitch view control for that, or would Joy2Key ensure that the hatswitch looks like a different keypress to Orbiter? (I understand that I'd need to edit the keybindings to use only the regular keyboard, because of a Joy2Key limitation.)
