Project ISS Module: Nauka

MeshMaker 2.1 CTD's when i try to export the file and there is no documentation in Anim8or 0.95b .msh export script 070514 so i have no idea how to use it. :(

I think I've used Anim8or 0.95b .msh export script 070514 before.

Ok, I got it. The file provided with it is a an8 script file. You need to go to the "Scripts" tab on anim8or, "Run script...", select the file and... I don't know about the rest :P. I hope this helped, if it didn't, no surprise, I'm hopeless with anim8or.

Thats the first half...

Some documentation would be useful in that.

Ok so it was converted into a mesh...BLAM (i overwrited a mesh to sim it quickly):

Oh... it looks like we have two problems:

1) The mesh has no textures even though they were textured. If i convert the textures to .dds how do i specify them?

2) The mesh is oversized (Thorton's ISS next to it for comparison).

Holy probe! They're side by side? I thought it was just approaching the ISS still form a few kms-!
This is what gets on my nerves on addon developing, problems always show up, even on the simplest things.

Development is halted as i will be away for a week starting tommorow. If you have any suggestions for my two problems please post them.

Yes, get AC3D. It will make your life much easier when making addons for Orbiter.

But it costs MONEY!!!!!. And it is not a suggestion for my problems.

You need to convert the textures yourself into DDS format and put them into the orbiter folder, the anim8or converter can't do that for you.

It is also possible you need to check in the converted msh file (by a text editor), if the texture is named properly.

2) The mesh is oversized (Thorton's ISS next to it for comparison).

The exporter converts 1:1m - what is one unit of dimension in anim8or large, is one meter large in Orbiter.

Send it to me, and I could resize it for yoou with AC3D in 2 min.

You said it was a mesh.

I just need the mesh.

PM me and I'll give you my e-mail.

Ok, so the mesh is now the right size. What about the textures?

I can convert the textures to .DDS. How would i do the .msh file specification?
