That's a promising small shuttle. A few suggestions :

- add a pair of rcs thrusters in the "retro" direction. The ship doesn't brake very well.
- the rotational rcs thrusters are maybe a little overpowerful.
- the cockpit looks great, but IMHO the windows are too big.
- some decals on the texture :P

Things currently being work on:

- RCS tweaks
- Flightmodel tweaks (current version acts as a brick)
- 2006 compatibility
- Crew managment within simulation
- Working rudder
- Speedbrake (using rudder)
- Chute for runway braking
- Minor bugs and issues

Hey! Don't forget the belly landing support

Nice addon! Just one question. after de-orbit and landing at KSC I am not able to 'kick-out' my mmu.

the alt-num key combi is not working.

sugestions/request:
- re-entry textures
- a square landing chute (like a big parasail to create extra lift for final approach)

Try looking under the shuttle - currently they appear inside a craft. That thing is being currently fixed

Ready for reentry

Developement update:

Almost all things are done

Working on a problem with trim (if engaged shuttle cannot perform 50 deg AOA reentry with Aerobrake MFD autopilot) - adding feature to disable trim during reentry

---------- Post added 05-05-11 at 11:29 AM ---------- Previous post was 05-04-11 at 10:16 PM ----------

Developement update:

2 almost identical crafts, one without trim and second with trim and during reentry first acts great and stable (AOA 57, 3.8 max G) and second is unable to hold AOA and drops nose at 77km and 7.2 km/s and wobles from left to right like drunk :/ Any ideas why?

Performed with Aerobrake MFD hold AOA autopilot. If unable to deal with problem, trim function will be permanently disabled (craft can perform well in the atmosphere and it's capable of gliding and landing without using of trim).

Yes - that's nice choice.

It gives me 0.7G to 2G acceleration of the second stage so I think it is in the acceptable parameters. Also it's only ~635kg.

Going to velcro to test the rig it inflight.

Developement update:

Aerodynamic model is working. Reentry with peak 2.7 G at 55deg AoA

Here are few shots:

- Gotta have some hot stuff - entry interface

- supersonic high altitude glide

- deeper into air
