So here's a question; when I'm doing a EVA from the shuttle and get my feet close to the Foot restraint on the side of the cargo bay, how do I actually attach to the foot restraint (is there a button I need to press) so I can use the arm to lift me ( attached to the foot restraint) out of the cargo bay ?

So, how do I attach my feet to the foot restraint ?

Thanks again.

Thorton,

Great job on the FGB, but are you aware it is alittle long ? The real FGB(Zarya) is about 12.5 meters, your's is about 15.4 meters. Is this something you would fix, or not?

You need to grab APFR with EMU's hand, move it to RMS effector, attach it to RMS then move EMU to close to APFR and switch focus to APFR and attach EMU.

Hi Thorton,

I'm having a problem regarding the activation of the P6 Truss module.

It's attached to the station but for some reason the solar panel will not deploy. I've pressed ctrl+space to see if it would activate, nothing. I also went to the solar panel menu and selected the P6 to see if I can open it manually but also got nothing.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

P6 does not require activation, you can control it via solar panel&radiator manager right after attaching.
It looks like you miss something, could you post here step by step all key combination that you press?
Also, after attaching and selecting P6 in solar panel menu, check data screen #2. If P6 were connected to iss properly, line "P6" should show "0.00 kW" of energy generated by port and starboard panels instead of "--" placeholder.

Yes, I have exactly the same question
I try to optimize my LAN, and I would like to know if it's possible to disable
automatic countdown, or change the launch time with shuttle fleet.
I can't find a value in .scn file, I try to change the MET in the GPCMFD
but it update only the MET time with no consequences for the launch time.

The smoke effect at launch are great:)

You could add line
TIMER -1 -1 -1
in Shuttlebay vessel and line
TIMER -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 -1
in LC39, but you will loose all launch effects and sequinces.

Thorton,

Still having issues with the P6 deployment. I've listed the steps taken:

1. Took the P6 out of beth
2. moved the truss to the position where it needs to attach
3. unattached the shuttle RMS from the truss
4. went to Attachment menu of ISS
5. Selected correct attachment point
6. Pressed Q to attach truss to station 7. Pressed Ctrl Space to activate
8. saw that truss didnt deploy - went to solar panel menu
9. Selected P6
10. Press A. Nothing Happens
11. Tried going to port or starboard panel of truss and press A. Nothing

Thanks

Hmm, did you attach P6 to Z1 zenith? Are you sure P6 attached after you pres "Q"?
What did you see in data screen #2 after you open solar panel menu?

It's funny, I launch through the LC39:)

I understand now, it's always the same timing in all shuttle scn, so
it's implemented in the dll, I guess, you can't change it in scn files

The best way finally, is to change my MJD a little bit, so
I can test perfect launch with no need of align plane later

your work is fantastic, great ISS

The P6 is attached to the attachment "Z1 P6". it is attached properly.
2nd data page shows that P6 is drawing 0.0kw.

I dont know, maybe i will update scenarios only.
Proton manual has "Work with payload" section, so you could modify scenarios by yourself.

The P6 is attached to the attachment "Z1 P6". it is attached properly.

Ok, its good news :) if it shows 0 kW then communication between P6 and ISS were established.
Are 100% sure that nothing happends when you selected P6 in solar panel manager and press "A"?
The reason i ask, because full deployment of solar panels takes about 20 minutes, so its very slow.

Please, send me your problem scenario.

i just found glitch it this scenario. Seems its a bug of P6 power subsystem. I fix this in next version.

Quick solution - delete line BATTERY 0.0000 0.0000 from P6 vessel and you can continue your scenario.

Sorry :(

you can grapple it, with focus on sts, or you can add the line
"ATTACHED 0:1,STS-XX" in the APFR section (with XX the number of the mission)

------

the attachement point for the EMU on the APFR, don't move when I rotate APFR, so the EMU don't move.
there's also something strange with pitch (1-2 keys), there is only 2 positions (it is not rotate), and for the position 2, I have to hit the key 2 times at least.

I miss something here ?

-----

In STS-88, I can't find a good position to dock Unity on shuttle.
I can't put the module straight upside the docking port.
It's because, when you deploy RMS (with Ctrl-X), it's going to far
from the port (the left side) of the shuttle(for about 5-10°)

when the RMS is deployed, you should have 0° roll for the RMS, so when you increase shoulder pitch, the arm have to go up perfectly straight

I know it's coming from shuttle fleet, but do you think it's possible to fix it?
