Hey gang! :hello: When last I posted here, it was nearly three years ago. Sadly, my wife passed away in September of 2017, and I think I went into a depressive funk since then.

Anyone still here that I know? Has much changed around here? I see there's a new sound module. Anything else that's big news?

I'm working on relearning all the stuff I forgot over the past three years, and then I might try to finish the Palmdale Lockheed hangar add-on I was working on before my wife's illness. I've still got all of the files around somewhere.

See ya 'round the planet!

hi many add-ons have been recompiled for orbiter 2016
Shuttle Fleet (has its own UMMU) (+ all missions 1-135)
International Space Station 2016
Space Shuttle Ultra
SpaceX (Starlink, Crew Dragon etc) (+ all missions)
KOUROU CSG v5.0
OrbiterSound 5.0 while in beta testing
join in

My sincere condolences!!

Hey guys.

Thanks for the concern; I'm ok. It's been three years. Didn't think it would affect me as much as it did; we were kind of estranged. But I guess it still did.

When I left, I was working on a Site 10 and BJ's Corner add-on for the Palmdale mod, but I had run into some unexpected bugs (even though it's mostly just polygons and textures). I'll probably revisit that soon (if I don't fall back into my funk) and try to finish it. I think I can reduce the polys a lot by removing all of those AC units on the top of the big hangar and replacing that with a texture, that might help... :hmm:

Any news of any new Orbiter versions? Or is Martin pretty much done with this project?

In fact OrbiterBeta development has been still for quite some time.
I guess it could as well be ready for an "Orbiter2020" release.

Well, emotions never go as planned.

Good to see you again.

Whenever something lasts that long, I guess you can never really say it is done. Orbiter will always be right there in the pantheon along with things like Doom, COBOL and perhaps internal combustion engines.

I am sure you just encoded Dwarf Fortress and Star Citizen there.
