Hubble Discovers Moon Orbiting the Dwarf Planet Makemake

Looks like Makemake is no longer alone in space. :thumbup: The newly discovered moon is 13,000 miles (21,000 km) away from Makemake and about 100 miles across (160 km).

Judging how much Whisky it can consume, I would say Sagittarius A* should be renamed Lemmy. Also it looks equally good in black.

So, there are probably hundreds of smallish planetoids like Pluto (transneptunians), most of them with other bodies orbiting them, in our solar system alone. Fully exploring Sol alone will probably take centuries or millenias, even with better technologies... :hmm:

Sort of interesting to think that astronomy was one of the first sciences as ancients struggled to understand the night sky. Still so much to discover after all these centuries.
