Hubble Discovers Moon Orbiting the Dwarf Planet Makemake

Oh boy, now in addition to the Pluto followers we'll have Makemake followers.

Makemake didn't have any followers for a long time, I'm sure he'll appreciate the attention :P

What amazes me is that they actually detected such a small object this far out...

I vote for Lemmy.

Lemmy is no name for the moon.

Judging how much Whisky it can consume, I would say Sagittarius A* should be renamed Lemmy. Also it looks equally good in black.

So, there are probably hundreds of smallish planetoids like Pluto (transneptunians), most of them with other bodies orbiting them, in our solar system alone. Fully exploring Sol alone will probably take centuries or millenias, even with better technologies... :hmm:

Sort of interesting to think that astronomy was one of the first sciences as ancients struggled to understand the night sky. Still so much to discover after all these centuries.
