1. Read the readme! Orbiter and addon specific.
2. Unzip the file into your Orbiter directory.
3. Activate any needed modules in the module tab.
4. Play.

Also, LOL?

I always have a problem w/ this type of stuff. Same with Blender 3D..

Where are you stuck? More details the better.

For example, are you having trouble using a 3D app to design a mesh or is it with C++ programming for an MFD or something else?

Right... But you still haven't said what the problem is or what type of addon.

Is this a mesh or an MFD?

What's the error message (if there is one)?

If there is no error message what's the problem?

Details matter, "It doesn't work" is meaningless.

I just need a walkthrough on how to install addons into Orbiter alltogether.
So, everything.

Are you trying to use someone else's addons or make your own?

If you're trying to use someone else's addons: what addons? Where are you stuck?

If you're trying to make your own: Where are you stuck?

Use someone elses.. sorry if i posted it in the wrong spot..

All i need is a walkthrough for installation of it.

Download zip file.
Unzip over the top of your orbiter installation (the same way as you unzip the orbiter installation).
The add on you listed has some pre-requisities. You DID read the readme and not get wowed by the pretty pictures didn't you?

Ok, but where do i download the addon to right whe i chose it? Do i give it its on folder or do i put it into the orbiter folder?

Also, do i put it in the zipped or Extracted folder?

Unzip over the top of your orbiter installation (the same way as you unzip the orbiter installation).

Which part of the above is unclear?

this is very confusing...lol. thanks. do you know of any video tutorials?

I ask again, What part is unclear?

To get an addon working all you have to do is UNZIP IT IN THE SAME WAY YOU INSTALLED ORBITER.

In other words:

Do you know how you got orbiter installed? Remember that pretty zip archive? Remember how you extracted the contents of the archive and put it into the directory?

DO THE SAME FOR ADDONS. EXACTLY THE SAME.

Here's the process I use:
Create Orbiter folder where I unzip Orbiter to so:
.../Orbiter/Orbiter060929_base where Orbiter060929 is the folder that the Orbiter .zip file creates when I extract it.
I then create a Mods folder in .../Orbiter so it's .../Orbiter/Mods
Then whatever Mods I download, their .zip files go in the Mods folder.
I extract the addons to their own individual folders then copy the contents of their folders into the orbiter_bse folder.

:welcome: to the forum!

I moved your thread to the beginners forum and renamed it to make it more clear what your question is. A redirect will be in the old place for 24 hours.

Happy Orbiting

This may help to spot some of most common problems
