Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

I cant connect, is the server working?
Hielor's server is most likely working just fine, but Mojang's Minecraft multiplayer sessions server is returning HTTP 503 (EDIT: and now it's probably completely off-line, as it isn't responding).

EDIT2: Daniel Frisk via Twitter:
There seems to be some kind of attack on our servers. DDoS is for losers who can't hack properly.

(BTW, :happybday: Gerdih)

Minecraft session server is back on-line. You can successfully log in now to this server.

Joining O-F Server

This message is asking Hielor if I, Jeffbatman, can join the sever with build permissions.

Next Farm in the desert: Auto lay up tree farm.

This farm will lay up tree logs while the saplings and apples will be directly given to the user.

Will be built in front of the Iron Farm collector

Looks like the trees i planted gave you some ideas? :)

Next Farm in the desert: Auto harvesting tree farm.

I thought that you can only make it semi-automatic, not auto-harvesting, since you still need to axe your way through the logs yourself

on another note, we would need to have all four of the species of trees we have now, since making only one would only be most useful for making fuel :)

Maybe I have not used the correct word, I was saying that it lays up logs automaticly.
Of course the farm is semi-automatic since you have to plant the tree. It would be possible to do a mechanism to destroy the logs without the need of an axe but I wont do it, it adds too much complexity.

In theory it can be used with all kind of trees.

I've started mapping the rail network in Nether (of course from the lines I built myself :P):

(EDIT: The map has been updated with all known to me lines as of 2012-12-14)
attachment.php

There are only 2 lines, because I didn't take coordinates of turns and ends of other lines yet, and they don't use any color coding, so they would be probably black or in different shades of gray on the map.

Brown line is mostly flat, centered at level 64, with exception of stations. Orange line's level varies between 65 and 109 (and even a bit higher at Sky City station's inbound junction).

I plan to extend the orange line in the future by one more station from the Commune end (there could be more stations, but a sign has only 4 lines of text :P).

EDIT: The Orange Line has been extended to the Gold Farm.

Speaking of rail lines, is there a better way to get powered rails than to hunt the caves for gold?
I'm making a rail line in the direction of Absurd Island and Vroengard.

You can hunt zombie pigmen, but it's much harder way, unless they die by falling or suffocation, and they not always drop gold nuggets.

You can build a pig man farm to increase spawn and drop rates.

I'm happy to announce that the Science Center's first exhibit, the Star Room, is up and ready for visitors!

Getting there is a short walk from the nether hub--follow the signs (same direction as Sammy's castle).

It looks best with the default texture pack, so if you're using a non-vanilla texture pack, you might want to disable it for the intended experience.

Hope you enjoy it!

On a more administrative note, I've reset the End, so it should work.

It also might kill you and take all your items the moment you try to zone in. If you want to have a go at the dragon, I'd recommend hopping in naked first to check it, then intentionally dying and respawning to get your stuff before doing it for real.
