Why is everything in the Nether fades away so fast?
I'm setting up a gold harvester, but everything pigmen drop disappear in like 30 seconds.
I die there, and my stuff is gone in under a minute.

Does not feel right.

I don't know, not a problem I've seen before, and I know it wasn't like that a few months ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Paid the Star Room a visit - Very nice touch. Didn't know what to expect when I walked into the great obsidian pyramid...certainly wasn't expecting that!

Obsidian on the outside, black wool on the inside, a layer of gooey creamy lava filling between. Like a giant demonic pyramid-shaped Oreo.

Glad you liked it! I wish I could've made it bigger, but the particle effect stops about 15 blocks away, so that's the maximum size. Really glad I discovered that before finishing the rather larger structure I'd planned previously...

I suppose its done with 3 pyramids, 1 of wool then another of lava and another of obsidian. Each pyramid is 1 block bigger than the previous.

I only wonder how he placed the lava without leaving empty spaces for the wool to burn. Or perhaps a lot of wool was just burned in the process of making this. :P

Things can only catch fire if there's air next to them--no air, no fire. The lava completely covers the wool, so the wool can't catch fire; there aren't any air blocks to turn into fire on the same side as the lava.

I just dumped the bucket of lava at the top and it cascaded down to cover everything--the lava flows faster than fire can burn blocks, even if there was a fire. That's why it's a "diamond" pyramid instead of a "square" pyramid--so the lava flow would spread and cover everything.

No wool was burned in the making of the structure. Can't say the same for my offline singleplayer tests, though...

Okey, tree farm is functional now. Thanks to Evil_Onyx and orb we could solve the redstone problems it had. Now it only can be used with jungle trees and normal trees, I will try to do it able to be used with all kind of trees. Thank you both guys.

This farm is 100% public.

Can you please whitelist me? I'm Pipcard39.

Here is where I plan to build my house:

Some questions: Where can I get some food if I'm hungry? Is there enough food for everybody at the commune? Are there any farms that anyone can access?

I'm asking about the biome just North East of the nose of the Concord. There are to two unfinished towers and walls. That area. I was wondering if anyone had claim to that land anymore. If not, I would like to claim it.

I'm not sure, but there may be already some plans for this area. It's in the industrial zone of the Orbiter-Forum City (OFMC).

There are public farms in Commune (marked with a chest icon on the dynmap), under the vault. You can get there wheat, melons, pumpkins, reeds, and cocoa beans (carrots and potatoes after the server update). There may be also some harvested, cooked, or crafted food in chests in the lower (IIRC) level of chests room (2nd level from top).

For the commune farms usage rules see this post.

Well the Snow Golem on that island is woo's but I don't know about all the other buildings, I think woo, Pablo, Quick_Nick, tl8, Hielor, and other old timers there know something about that place.

I don't think you can just claim a whole biome without building anything in it, if anything, claim somewhere far away, nobody will dispute your claim that way.

About that island though, it's too close to the OFMC to be so barren and lifeless, we need some development there, and yet all the old owners has left and left no signs to continue there.

There's snow golem building on that island?

If that's the one at edge of the bay, then I always thought it meant to be a statue of a Minecraft chicken/duck.

[/COLOR]I just wanted the area with the unfinished walls and towers. I wanted to finish it, then build a house and a few farms for myself on the inside.
