Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

I haven't picked up the hut. I am willing to loose it, but I would like it if someone could rescue the materials first.

Is there anything left in the resource world that people don't want to lose?
I have had only a double chest there, but I think I took everything away from it, and if not, it will be easily recoverable, as those were only generic materials mined there and maybe a few picks (I've been taking more valuable things right back to the OrbiterWorld).

Price of an acacia sappling: 64 blocks of diamond
Price of 64 acacia wood: 1 iron bars, 1 gold nuggets
Nobody will buy any saplings if the wood is worthless. :P

Anyway, if I need acacia, I can wait for the resource world portal being fixed. I've been waiting for it already for a half of year to make a quartz floor in one of my houses.

This will probably be a short one too. 1.8 has new types of stone.

I am happy to announce that after an extremely protracted absence...the Planetary Resources Multiple Experimental High-Fidelity Uniform Calibrated Kinetic Inverted Teleportater (MEH:censored:IT) shafts are once again online!

Turns out that at some point, Multiverse-Portals started requiring permissions for both the departure and destination portals in order to use it. The MEH:censored:IT shafts use separate arrival and departure portals (to prevent falling to your demise upon arrival). The "user" group on the server didn't have permission for the arrival portals, since it wasn't needed before (only permission for the departure portal was needed).

So, go grab anything else you want from the resource world, as I'll probably be recalibrating the MEH:censored:IT shafts some time in the next couple days.

When the resource world originally opened, me and Chaser, and maybe someone else I don't recall went around and mined up all the easy to get quartz. I have no idea what I ever did with it. WHOOPS.

EDIT: APPARENTLY IT WAS WOO, MY BAD I AM SO SORRY. :(

This makes sense and will now ensure I have something todo tonight.

The Monopoly Crisis pt 2

Hahahahaha...:chainsaw:It was all a trap.

Even though i did burn down the acacia forest in the north and hoarded the last 8 acacia saplings on my base. I had successfully manipulated the Orbiter-Minecraft Community and Heilor into fixing the Interworld portal and bringing the resource world back online. I have also, temporarily, raised interest in OrbiterWorld and have brought back some people who haven't played minecraft in months/years...

Spoiler alert: No one is falling for this.

Or when someone buys a sapling
For 64 blocks of diamond? Are you kidding? At least it wouldn't be me, as I have only around 39 non-compressed diamonds (or 38, because I've made a jukebox lately on the pirate ship). :P

In an unexpected twist of events, it appears that the technobabble Hielor installed onto the portal had it's syllable count off.
The portal started spewing stuff from random worlds, and there are now all sorts of weird trees growing near the PRRF.

Tough luck, fsci123. :)

Oh, and in case of sabotage, i've stored some material samples at the top of the Delta Crateris, the maze unclimbable.

General Warning:

All that can be taken has been from the resource world.

Anyone that has a locked chest needs to go to the resource world very quickly (~24hrs) and get it.

I have no idea what I ever did with it.
I think I remember lending you a fortune pick for the quartz ore you mined with silk touch. You repaired the pick and gave me a stack of raw quartz in return.

No worries, anyway. I can get back to my southern desert temple shelter, take dimensions, and make a nice white floor now, after the resource world has been re-opened, and additionally put there a 3x3 (5x5) nether portal.

1.8 has new types of stone.
Diorite = Cobblestone + Quartz
Granite = Diorite + Quartz
Andesite = Diorite + Cobblestone

The Planetary Resources MEH:censored:IT shaft has been recalibrated.

Unsurprisingly (after all the trees that got spewed), the destination portal appeared in a jungle. The return MEH:censored:IT shaft has been stabilized, and it's now ready for two-way trips.

The Nether exists, but I haven't visited it yet so I have no idea if it'll work. Same for the End. If you're feeling brave, feel free to give one or the other a try and let me know if they work.

Tried the Nether earlier today.
There was no return portal on arrival.
Had to take the Dante's way back, and try again with portal-building supply kit.

The nether is not particularly friendly for easy mining - it's basically a monolith hanging above the magma sea.

Fortunately, Delta Crateris's creeper collectors have been overflowing for a while...

In other news, Delta Crateris Department of Abnormality seeks a nametag for the Friendly Creeper Delivery Service.
Payment is possible.

The Resource world's Nether is lighter about 4 stacks of Quartz. Unfortunately only 2 of those stacks made it home. Regardless I will be selling some of that Quartz, as soon as I can decide on a price.

Official Statement:
Jangofett287 Mining and Construction [JM&C] would like to take this opportunity to officially apologise for our chief, and only, miner's ineptitude in retrieving such a large volume of such a precious resource. We at JM&C know how valuable Quartz is to our customers, and realise the effect this failure has had on the global supply. We would like all our customers to rest assured that steps will be taken to ensure that such a loss of resources does not happen again.

[[I'll admit, I got a little kick out of writing an in-universe bit of text, and completely over dramatising how important quartz is. To clarify I did 2 mining runs, the first time bringing back just over 2 stacks of Quartz. The second trip I mined I think about a stack and a half to 2 stacks, before encountering a little trouble with navigation due to the world border snapping me back to a plateau above where I had been, mis-stepping and falling into some lava. I forget how big the Resource world Nether is, but its small enough to reach in less than a couple mins walking. If someone knows tell me and I'll run the numbers on how much quartz there should be.]]

the world border snapping me back
That's very familiar...
I lost a full suit of enchanted diamond armour and gear because the world border snapped me into a pool of lava i was going to walk around.
Back in the first resource world where nether was even smaller.

Suggest setting World Border Knockback to 1 block instead of 5. Or even 0 if that's possible.

I've reduced the knockback to 1.
