I get the feeling the Minecraft Wiki guys have too much time on their hands...

I've just completed the work for SkyCity University's second level. This includes the area for the dome topping off the first level that Eccentrus will build. Total build time was about 6 hours and it required way more materials than I ever want to use again in one day. :lol:

Eccentrus: Since you seem to be having connection problems, I've left your dome stone in a chest near my other chests. You should have permissions, go to town with it. Thanks! :tiphat:

They are 13w03a, we are 1.4.7.

Otherwise, it would suffer from the same fate that the "track to roll you around collecting stuff" idea would - pigmen spawn on rails.

Iron bars just above the track? :shrug: (They would prevent mob spawning in only 1-block space below them on the track, and mobs don't spawn on top of them; items would pass through them.)

Wouldn't some items catch on top of the bars? The gold farm must already have low efficiency; dropping it farther seems like a bad idea.

I still have not said nothing about the building is being constructed near the Skycity University.

The building that will form part of the public buildings is inspired on the Roman ancient basilicas. Basilicas were forum buildings used for meeting or commercial uses, mine is specifically inspired on Basilica Julia or Basilica Aemilia, both are similar; [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilica_Aemilia"]Basilica Aemilia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]
It will have iron columns with stone arches and a floor made with jungle and spruce. The roof will be an opened dome. In front of it I will place columns with decorative materials as emerald blocks or diamond blocks in an effort to represent the solar system.

I've finished three sides of the third level of the University tonight. I'll finish the fourth side and the rest of the towers tomorrow, and that should square away the outside. After this, it's a matter of flooring, roofing, and Eccentrus finishing his dome.

Which update will mobs be able to spawn on slabs?

The street lamps work, but there is not 100% coverage (it's close, just the square farthest away from all three lights). I can certainly double the number of street lights by eliminating the alternating sides pattern and doing a light on each side, every 9-10 blocks as I have it now. This would be very easy to accomplish.

Two questions:

1) When is the updating coming? Is this high priority?

2) Do you have any glowstone? I can donate some, but most of my meager reserves have been allocated to lighting in the University.

No update changes that so far, but even a single (full) opaque block or upside down slab or upside down stair with 2 block space above it and with light level below 8 can spawn a mob.

Not possible now. It's out of stock. I haven't enchanted more books since I got the single silk touch one, which I used for shears. Maybe there will be again after I enchant another 2 stacks of books.

If you can provide me with about 1 stack (maybe 2 if you want me to go farther out than what's been done), I'll take care of street lighting once the exterior of SkyCity University is complete (which will be very soon). Just toss it in a chest or something near the University build site and I'll get on it.

I've finished the exterior of SkyCity University! Tomorrow I'll start creating the roof. I'm going to use sandstone most likely. May take a few days to finish it off, but I'm looking forward to it.
